List of Ulster County Legislators representing Saugerties

The Ulster County Legislature was created in 1967, replacing the Ulster County Board of Supervisors, to bring the County into compliance with the 1964 Supreme Court decision in Reynolds v. Sims.

At the time of its creation, each Town served as a Legislative District, and was assigned a number of legislative seats based on the population of the Town. In 1967, Saugerties had 4 legislative seats.

In the year 2000, the legislative maps were created which no longer directly corresponded to the town lines, but retained the proportional, multi-member districts. Beginning in 2010, legislative maps were drawn with single-member districts, each having a roughly equal population.

In the tables below, when legislators are elected from multi-member districts, I have made an effort to list them in order of their vote totals, from largest to smallest.
